When Gordon came along all the top drivers were in their 30's and 40's, and would start out racing second rate stuff until they impressed a big car owner like Rick Hendrick. Here comes this 21 year old kid driving for Hendrick and winning races right off the bat. It wouldn't be that big a deal now, but it was in '93 and 94...

Kind of funny that he gets tired after about 1/2 way through a race but his sponsor is Mountain Dew, which I love by the way and AMP, which I have never tried. Both of those drinks should GIVE you energy especially AMP. I saw Jr on TV smashing a gorilla for Christ sakes. What's up with that? Maybe he should drink a gallon of AMP during pit stops.
